OMG, It’s Monday! Prayer: More Orange, Please!

Jesus, thank You for orange, the color of fall fun. The hue of thanksgiving for blessings You bestow. Yet even before we carved jack-’o-lanterns, an invasion of red and green ensued. Lord, You know I celebrate Your birth! But OMG, will retailers and the Hallmark Channel start their 2026 Christma$ countdowns on January 2?

OMG, It’s Monday! Prayer: Fruit Passion

Jesus, You know that when I enter a produce section or farm market, I want to buy out the place! Sort of an Eve compulsion (though if my Eden ancestor had given in to strawberry pie temptation, I would really get that). Often, though, I can share my fruit overload with our church family — especially meaningful today as we celebrate a dear woman who loved You and others with her long life. OMG, thank You for this privilege. And that You can transform even my greed into generosity.

Jesus, I love the sparkly red and green that help celebrate Your birth. Frankly, though, just as those colors clash with orange, Christmas promotions gobble up Thanksgiving. No time for honoring You, the Giver of all good things. So, OMG, at our house, orange will linger longer!
