Jesus, I’m grateful for the consistency of the Your laws that keep our planets, stars and galaxies running, a huge, well-oiled universe.

But, OMG, do You sometimes toss out small surprises — such as our blackberries outgrowing cherry tomatoes — to remind us You can?
Jesus, You could have made Planet Earth as sleek, plain and efficient as a machine. But, OMG, I’m so glad Your beautiful mind just HAD to create beauty.
OMG, when our world tries to stamp out everything beautiful, I’m thankful You aren’t a quitter. You never stop recreating it!
O Lord, thank You for little things that hold our tiny lives together: paper clips, zippers and Velcro. Band-Aids, superglue and Gorilla Tape.
But OMG, the Creator who arranges miniscule atoms, yet spins planets on one big finger, we need You so much more!
O Lord, Your infinite mind has designed an infinite number of beautiful things, but surely, peonies must near the top of your lovely list. OMG, thank You that while our politicians don’t always get it right, they were smart enough to name it Indiana’s state flower!
O Lord, You know camping in 30-degree weather is not my favorite pastime. But OMG, thank You that my lack of anticipation didn’t keep You from sharing Your incredible creation with us!
O Lord, thank You for giving me three generations of special guys. Not sure why You granted them legs twice as long as mine or 100 times my energy. Nevertheless, OMG, thank You that we can hike and love Your creation together!
O Lord, when I view Your world, I marvel at the millions of colors You created. What an Imagination! But OMG, just so You know, all those choices sure make it hard to decide whether to paint a room Peach Indulgence or Romantic Smoke.
